Sacred Rebel Fierce Love in a Fearful World
A brief introduction to the vision and heart behind The Sacred Rebel
Sacred Rebel Voices
Sacred Rebel Voices is a YouTube channel of conversations with thought leaders, faith voices, and cultural leaders exploring how we live with courage, compassion, and conviction in a divided world. Alongside these dialogues are short meditations—“Whispers of the Sacred Rebel”, offering quiet, three to four minute reflections that invite us to return to what is most true within us. Together, they carry the vision of The Sacred Rebel beyond the page and into lived experience.

A conversation with Rabbi Sandy Sasso - one of the first women rabbis in America- on interfaith understanding, spiritual leadership, and building bridges across traditions
Joy as Rebellion is a short meditation where we explore joy not as denial or distraction, but as a quiet, deliberate act of resistance. When fear, exhaustion, or despair try to have the final word, choosing joy can become a way of reclaiming our humanity and our hope.

From 2000 to 2011, Diane and I were deeply involved in ministry in Bosnia in the years following a war that had torn the country and so many lives apart. During our time as Co-Pastors at Florence Christian Church, we were drawn into a work of compassion and presence alongside partners like Johnny Wray of Week of Compassion and Dzevad, our NGO, who guided us on the ground in Bosnia.
This video captures glimpses of that journey. What we experienced there changed us. It was sacred work, walking with people, listening to their stories, and, in small but meaningful ways, helping to bring hope to lives that had been broken open by war.
