Finding Your Voice in a Fearful World: My Conversation on WISH-TV

I had the opportunity to sit down with WISH-TV to talk about my new book, Sacred Rebel: Fierce Love in a Fearful World, and the deeper journey behind it.

We talked about what happens when we begin questioning the beliefs and expectations handed to us by society, religion, family, or culture, and how finding our own voice can become an act of courageous compassion.

The woman on the left is holding a book titled 'Sacred Rebel,' and the woman on the right is smiling, wearing glasses, and a blazer. The bottom of the image has a pink banner with the text 'Life.Style.Live!' repeated.

Sacred Rebel Fierce Love in a Fearful World

A brief introduction to the vision and heart behind The Sacred Rebel

Sacred Rebel Voices

Sacred Rebel Voices is a YouTube channel of conversations with thought leaders, faith voices, and cultural leaders exploring how we live with courage, compassion, and conviction in a divided world. Alongside these dialogues are short meditations—“Whispers of the Sacred Rebel”, offering quiet, three to four minute reflections that invite us to return to what is most true within us. Together, they carry the vision of The Sacred Rebel beyond the page and into lived experience.

A conversation with Alexandra Hudson on civility, courage, and how we engage across deep differences without losing our convictions.

A conversation with Rabbi Sandy Sasso - one of the first women rabbis in America- on interfaith understanding, spiritual leadership, and building bridges across traditions

Joy as Rebellion is a short meditation where we explore joy not as denial or distraction, but as a quiet, deliberate act of resistance. When fear, exhaustion, or despair try to have the final word, choosing joy can become a way of reclaiming our humanity and our hope.

Interfaith Work & Public Conversations

Honored as Interfaith Ambassador of the Year, this video reflects a life lived across ministry, theater, and even at the poker table- an expression of what it means to be a Sacred Rebel in many forms

In this heartfelt acceptance speech from the Center for Interfaith Cooperation Banquet (March 19, 2023), Jerry Zehr reflects on decades of interfaith work, honoring the people, partnerships, and sacred moments that shaped his journey.

From the early days of Jewish-Christian dialogue to the growing interfaith collaboration movement across Indiana, this message is both a tribute and a call to action.

From 2000 to 2011, Diane and I were deeply involved in ministry in Bosnia in the years following a war that had torn the country and so many lives apart. During our time as Co-Pastors at Florence Christian Church, we were drawn into a work of compassion and presence alongside partners like Johnny Wray of Week of Compassion and Dzevad, our NGO, who guided us on the ground in Bosnia.

This video captures glimpses of that journey. What we experienced there changed us. It was sacred work, walking with people, listening to their stories, and, in small but meaningful ways, helping to bring hope to lives that had been broken open by war.

An exploration of the Golden Rule as a shared thread across faith traditions, helping us see how much more we have in common than differences that divide us, and inviting deeper understanding across.
